Gaia Summer Camps 2016 
First day: Monday June 27, 2016         

Last day: August 19, 2016

Each Camp includes 5 days of Camp sessions: Monday-Friday.
We offer Full, Half, or Extended Day schedules. 
Half Days include your choice of Morning OR Afternoon sessions, Full Days include BOTH.

GAiA CAMP HOURS 2016:
Morning- 9:00am-12:00/12:30pm 
Lunch- 12:00-12:30pm 
*All Campers are welcome to bring a lunch and join us.*
Afternoon- 12:00/12:30-3:30
An Extended Day schedule is available until 5:30pm.

More details:
Each Camp is open to (up to)12 youth age 6-16.

Camps are hosted by great Gaia facilitators including Teachers, Junior Counselors, and Guest Artists who are competent, caring, and fun.
Gaia Camps provide youth with "old fashioned" fun in a unique, freedom based learning environment. 
Every Camp offers fun learning opportunities including time in nature and hands on projects such as cooking and gardening. 
Most Camps are loosely organized by theme. Maintaining our belief in the value of play and youth empowerment, these themes will be guides, leaving room for flexibility and youth input. 
*Old Fashioned Summertime can be the theme ANY WEEK.* 
*Ask about custom themes to fit individual interests.*

Gaia Democratic School values diversity and welcomes all types of learners including free spirits. 
High School students may choose to earn credits.

Snacks and materials are provided, lunch is not.
Our bathrooms are gender neutral and we do not discriminate in any way. 

Camp Fees: 
By April 30/After April 30, 2016
Half Day-per week: $120.00/$135.00
Full Day-per week: $220.00/$250.00
Extended Day- per week: $40.00/$50.00 (additional)
20% off for Gaia students and multiple Camps/youth. Each Camp meets for 5 sessions, Mon. through Fri.
No refunds. A limited number of need based Scholarships are available by application.

627- June 27-July 1
AM and PM- OLD FASHIONED SUMMERTIME

Explore summer in fun and freedom! Create your own camp by following your imagination, instincts and interests. Grown ups will provide options and help only when needed, as youth take charge and develop their own ideas and projects and/or "just play". Options include games, materials to inspire, create and build with, plenty of "free" time outdoors, and more!

705- July 5-8
AM and PM- DRAGONS, FAERIES, AND BEASTIES

Adventure through magical lands of world mythology with enchanted creatures.


711- July 11-15
AM- ARTASTIC BLAST

Immerse yourself in messy, multi-media, creative art projects. We will work with clay and other sculpting mediums, paper making, printing, marbeling, splatter, squirt, and speed painting, and more. Do not be afraid, it will all wash off! You don't even have to think of yourself as an artist to have fun with art. 
PM- THEATER ARTS
Everyone has a star inside them, be the star that you are! Have a blast with theater games, improv, puppets, masks, and a collaborative performance.

AM- OLD FASHIONED SUMMERTIME

PM- APOCALYPSE SURVIVAL
Practice survival and scouting skills while playing Zombietag and other fun.


725- July 25-29
AM- GAIA'S GARDEN

Dig your hands in the dirt of our Gaia Garden. We will build and tend a garden, learn about plants, worm composting, and more. You will bring your own plants home too. 

PM- MAGIC the Gathering
Bring your deck and/or build your own. Come play with others who enjoy this fun game.


801- August 1-5
AM - WITCH-WIZARD CAMP

Learn real magic and develop your skills in magical arts.

PM- GROSSOLOGY and Mad Fun Science
Science is endlessly fascinating and sometimes gross. We will have a blast with exciting experiments involving making Glowing goo, boogers, slime, studying creepy crawlies, dissecting animal pellets, and some ka-pow!

AM and PM- ANIME ACADEMY

All things anime!

Gaia CAMPS  Summer 2016 Registration/Info

Registration is complete when all required paperwork and fees are submitted. Registration is generally due at least 2 weeks before before Camp start date, please inquire about availability after that date.

In the"Message" section, include
